Planned Parenthood has been a hot topic yet again as budget talks and a possible shut down of the federal government loomed this week. The call to defund Planned Parenthood has been renewed and I, for one, am hoping this time it really happens. It’s been proven yet again that Planned Parenthood does not need federal funds to operate whatsoever. Many of you might seem confused of shocked that I would be so adamant in wanting federal funds cut from Planned Parenthood – after all, I am a woman and should advocate for a woman’s choice to control her own body right? Well I do advocate for a woman to choose for herself. I do not advocate for a woman to choose for me to murder her unborn child using my money.
I can acknowledge accidents can and do happen. Unintended pregnancy happens through rape. It happens through incest. It happens through a failure in contraceptive devices. It happens for lack of using a contraceptive device at all – and that is where my anger with women on this topic comes from. Ladies, if you are smart enough to seek reproductive health care from Planned Parenthood then you are smart enough to make your partner wear a condom or for you to go on the pill, use a diaphragm or other means of contraception. Using abortion as a method of contraception is the stark reality being white washed here. This is why I look at Planned Parenthood and see it as being misnamed. It’s really Planned Abortionhood since you didn’t plan to protect yourself and neither did your partner.
Pro-choice is an ironic label that has been chosen by those in favor of abortion. It was choice that you had sex in the first place excluding cases of incest or rape. It was choice you didn’t make your partner wear protection or that you did not use it yourself. It was your own failure at the choice of taking personal responsibility for your actions that now has the tax payer forking over their money to fix so you aren’t ‘punished’ with a baby.
Please don’t quote Margaret Sanger if you want my sympathies either. She started this path of murdering the unborn in her quest to cleanse the population. It’s main purpose is not women’s health and the bulk of the basic gynecological services it provides are covered under a variety of other government medical programs. Recent sting videos have exposed the lies perpetuated by Planned Parenthood and the dark, ugly underbelly of this group. These stings are not new either, they have been going on for the better part of a decade. Women’s groups have shouted down and buried the evidence and deftly made those choosing to support life as a bunch of Bible thumping Kooks. Where is the outrage?
